About Me

I am a Mechanical Engineer at Southwest Research Insititute (SwRI) in the Rotating Machinery Technology Group. As part of my work at SwRI, I create new designs as well as perform numerical analysis on rotating machines (compressors, turbines, etc.) and associated equipment focusing on fluid dynamics and heat transfer. I have also done experimental testing at both SwRI and during my time at Virginia Tech as a graduate student.

I have worked on many projects for both school and work that you can see on my projects page. Several papers that I have worked on are also listed on the publications page.

Apart from school, I enjoy hiking, camping, most things outdoors, table tennis, photography, finding deals on craigslist, popcorn, playing cooperative 2D side scrolling video games, and most of all spending time with my wife and two young daughters.
